With just three and a half hours fishing for thornbacks, saw 35 boated of which many were returned to be caught another day. What more could you ask for but hopefully Bass next month.

Not disappointed some nice fish to go around with thornback being the main catch and a few dog fish for good measure.

With 59 hounds landed and returned back to the sea, with the best two fish going to Pete and Richard with a 17lb 12oz hound a piece with 30 fish breaking the 10lb bracket.

As you can see another cracking day, everything in our favour, sun, sea and fish! As you can see, the youngsters always catch the biggest fish with a nice double on his first trip. Hooked for life!

Another individual's day angling trip saw good catches of Thornbacks with 30 plus fish being boated up to 10lb 8oz with Smooth Hounds making more of an appearance and Dogfish making up their bags.

Tiny (real name Darren) requests an off-shore fishing trip to find some Thornbacks that the trawlers haven't had yet knowing that the day before was pretty poor I had to go in search of a different bit of ground and low and behold we hit the jackpot! Boating 45 Thornies up to 14 lb PB for Dave - well done mate! Most of the fish averaging 7lbs to 10 lbs and returning many of these fish - all had a good day's fishing.

Gary and his pals see plenty of sport with 20 plus Roker to 12 lbs being boated with many fish being returned. Another good day.

Gary Smith and his pals have some good Thornback fishing with Dog Fish still a nuisance with a few better sized Smooth Hounds moving in. The last hour of the day has to go to the jammy Skipper landing a superb 6 lb 4oz Lobster!! Wouldn't you all like to see that on your table!

Ray Smith booked this charter in search of Bass and Thornbacks as he'd heard a few Bass had been caught in recent days. Being surprised myself we fished a one of my Bass marks and we totalled 23 Thornbacks and 16 Bass to 7 lbs. Hopefully Bass fishing continues to be just as good!
